Over the past couple of weeks I have been building a new installation services page that vastly improves the organization of my install services. Before now, when you wanted to order an installation service from me you would have to hunt through each individual listing of the services I offer to pick the correct options for your desired console. The main goal for the new installation services page was to eliminate that, and make it a smooth process where you simply click on your console, and can select any of the services offered for that console on one page.
Once you select your console, you can choose whatever services you want, and the order total will update at the bottom of the page as you add and remove options. For installations of my own designs such as the iFlash2PS2 or N64 RGB JEWEL the installation page will automatically bundle the kit with your install labor charge so you don’t have to individually add each item to your cart. If you want to remove the bundled kit because you already own one that you will be sending in with your console, you can simply uncheck the bundled kit.
For installation services of other kits that I do not sell such as the PixelFX Retro GEM you will be clearly informed that you must send your own kit with your console.
Once you select all of your options and click review order, you will be shown an overview of what you have selected, as well as a checklist of items that you are expected to ship to me for your install service. Once you complete the “What to Ship Us” checklist you can click add to cart and all of the services you’ve selected will automatically be added to your cart at once. After that you simply checkout and you’re done. Your order will be added to the installation queue and you will receive an email with shipping instructions.
New Install Reports
In addition to the new install services page, I’ve also implemented a new install report process. When you send a console in for install services you will now receive a detailed report on the installation via email once the installation is complete. This report will cover the entire install process, from the initial inspection when I receive the console to the installation process, testing process, and the final inspection before shipping. The report will include photos of each stage of the install process and notes anywhere that something noteworthy or unusual happens.
Here is an example installation report you can look at to see what to expect.
These changes should vastly improve the experience of sending consoles in for install services. I do top shelf install work, and I am doing what I can to offer top shelf service to match! I look forward to working for you.
