N64 3.3v Voltage Regulator Board

Borti4938’s N64 3.3v Voltage Regulator is an upgrade for any N64RGBv1 or Tim Worthington Universal N64 RGB mod. The N64’s stock 3.3v rail is very noisy, with high frequency noise produced by the audio circuit and controller inputs leaking into the power rail. This problem with all N64s cause flickering noise on bright scenes when using Borti’s N64RGBv1 and Tim Worthington’s Universal RGB mods. This board adds a dedicated 3.3v power rail just for the RGB mod, which eliminates the video noise issues and allows the affected mods to produce a perfect noise free RGB image. It’s a must have upgrade especially for those who are connecting their N64s to high definition digital displays.
For an overview of N64 3.3v power issues and solutions I have a video on the topic.

Compatibility Warning:
This mod is only needed if you have Borti4938’s standard N64RGBv1 or Tim Worthington’s RGB mod. All other N64 RGB mods are unaffected by the dirty 3.3v rail and thus do not need this mod.

There are 2 purchasing options for this board:
If you plan to install the mod yourself simply select Self Installation in the drop down options, If you wish to send your console in for modding service, select Professional Installation and I will provide shipping instructions after checkout.

How this store works:

Processing time for orders is between 1 and 5 days. I assemble all of these boards by hand. When a product is listed in stock this means that I have all of the components to build the board, but it does not necessarily mean that the boards are already assembled. If I have boards ready at the time of your order then processing and shipping your item should only take 1 day. If I have to assemble one or more products in your order, processing and shipping could take up to 5 days. I appreciate your patience, I’m a one man show over here.

If you are sending an item in for professional installation service, my turnaround is usually between 2-5 days from the time I receive your shipment. This varies based on my workload at the time. Again, your patience is appreciated.

IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION

I have implemented flat rate shipping to the United States and select international countries. If your country is not on the list please reach out to me via the contact page and I can manually calculate shipping for you.
