Scalable Video Switch

The Scalable Video Switch is a fully modular, customizable and user upgradable video switching system. It is capable of sync based autodetection and auto switching of all inputs. It is capable of switching a variety of analog video formats such as RGBS, RGsB, RGBHV(VGA), YPbPr(Component), CVBS(Composite) and Y/C(S-Video). It uses high bandwidth switching and video buffering circuitry that can support resolutions from 240p to 1080p60. It supports switching analog stereo audio for each input, and it can also switch digital audio signals using optional TOSLINK input/output modules. It also sports the ability to transmit user programmable infrared remote codes to your TV, video scaler or any other infrared receiving device as needed.*

CONTROL MODULE

The Control Module is the brain of the switch. It is responsible for detecting sync signals from the input modules and auto switching the inputs. It also handles the infrared remote receiver and transmitter functions.

Features

  • – Supports control of up to 32 inputs (will be increased in a future firmware update, this is a software limit)
  • – Supports user programmable infrared remote codes for manual input switching (forward and backward)
  • – Supports manual input switching using the button on the front of the control module
  • – Status indicator LED, provides feedback when programming IR codes
  • – Up to 250 user programmable IR codes for IR transmission when switching inputs
  • – Multiple IR code slots per input
  • – IR blaster support via 3.5mm output jack
  • – USB firmware updates and (in a future update) control and configuration of the switch over USB

 

INPUT MODULES

SVS Input Modules can be mixed and matched in any configuration that the user desires. Every input module has an optional 9.5mhz low pass filter that can be enabled using the sliding switch at the front of the module. This low pass filter is meant for 240p/480i inputs that have poor shielding or noise in the video lines. The low pass filter is not useful for high resolution sources 480p or higher.


SCART Input Module

  • – Supports RGBS, RGsB and YPbPr input formats
  • – Supports resolutions up to 1080p60
  • – Supports TOSLINK with the addition of the SVS TOSLINK Input Module
  • – Supports SCART-Lock brackets with a 70.4mm M4 hole pattern.

 

Component Input Module

  • – Supports YPbPr, RGsB and Composite Video(on Green) input formats
  • – Supports resolutions up to 1080p60
  • – Supports TOSLINK with the addition of the SVS TOSLINK Input Module

 

 

VGA Input Module

  • – Supports RGBHV Input Format
  • – Supports resolutions up to 1080p60
  • – Supports stereo audio via RCA or 3.5mm TRS jack
  • – Supports TOSLINK with the addition of the SVS TOSLINK Input Module
  • – XOR sync combiner for Csync output

 

Composite/S-Video Input Module

  • – Supports Composite Video and S-Video Input formats (only one at a time)
  • – Supports resolutions up to 480i

TOSLINK MODULES

The SVS TOSLINK Modules are an optional upgrade that can be added to any input or output module. They allow the SVS to switch TOSLINK digital audio signals in addition to the analog audio and video signals. All input and output modules support the TOSLINK upgrade.
