Console I/Os are Back Again!

Well, it’s been a long time coming, but I’ve finally managed to assemble all the necessary parts to restock the Vewlix Console I/O and the SEGA JVS Console I/O. I currently have about 20 of each, but I plan to conduct another run once these sell through.

I’m currently trying to verify if the SEGA Console I/O will work with the newer P-RAS cabinets. When I designed it pretty much nobody had them, but in the last few years it seems like a lot of them have made their way from Japan into the hands of arcade enthusiasts, so I’d really love to be able to support them with the same great feature set that I am able to offer to Lindbergh, and Naomi/Net City/New Net City owners. I’ll update the the product page once I know for sure.

Site Enhancements

Another project I’ve been working on behind the scenes is the enhancement of the website’s feature set. The most notable improvement from a user-facing perspective is the implementation of an ‘In Stock Notification’ feature. If a product is out of stock, you can input your email address to receive an instant notification as soon as the product is available again. This feature has been sorely needed for years, as one of the most frequently asked questions via email is when a particular item will be back in stock.. Now, you don’t have to worry about missing your chance because you can be notified right away!

In addition to the stock notification email, I’ve also established an automated order status email system. You will now receive emails as your order progresses through different phases of fulfillment. This feature is particularly useful when you send something in for professional installation. You’ll receive an email when I receive your item, when your installation is in progress, and when your installation is complete. This way, you will be fully informed throughout the entire installation process.

That pretty much sums up this update. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be dedicating some time to enhancing the support pages. Improving documentation is a key focus for the upcoming year. I’ve also resumed work on the Universal JAMMA kit and an updated hardware revision of the Console JAMMAizer. Hopefully, I’ll have something to showcase early next year

Merry Christmas everybody! See y’all in 2024!
